Graph-Tech USA (GTUS) is introducing the RFID-Runner, a next-generation UHF encode-and-print system designed to improve speed, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in RFID label production.
Traditional RFID encoding and printing methods, such as thermal transfer systems, often cannot meet current industry demands, particularly as initiatives like Walmart’s RFID mandate require higher volumes at lower costs. The RFID-Runner addresses these challenges with significant improvements in speed, cost efficiency, and accuracy.
The RFID-Runner is capable of encoding and printing 10,000 RFID tags in under 12 minutes, significantly reducing production time compared to conventional systems. Its design also supports lower consumable usage and overall operational expenses, delivering measurable cost efficiency.
At the core of the system is a triple-Impinj architecture: one encoder identifies the TID, a second encodes the data, and a third performs multiple quality and data checks, ensuring complete data integrity. Material waste is minimized as the system eliminates tag losses at roll starts and ends.
Production flexibility is another key advantage, with the ability to run either labels or cut tags on the same machine. Optional cameras can be integrated for full visual inspection. Together, these features contribute to greater operational efficiency, enabling higher output with fewer operators while maintaining consistent quality.
In addition to hardware, Graph-Tech USA provides data preparation software, multi-format compatibility, and audit file generation for compliance and traceability.
